Is it possible to make a call without first registering?

Postby newbie911 » Thu Dec 17, 2015 10:12 pm

I was playing around and learning. I opened port 5060 on my internet facing router to do some experiments.

A day later, I found thousands of SIP connection attempts per hour (all Wrong password). But Messages in the log folder also show things like:

[Dec 17 21:46:13] NOTICE[15477] chan_sip.c: Call from '' (155.94.65.165:5077) to extension '00972597740469' rejected because extension not found in context 'default'.

Does it mean that someone from 155.94.65.165 was able to initiate a call attempt, although it was not successful?

I can account for all in Master.csv except:

"","1236","1236","default","""1236"" <1236>","SIP/xxx.255.47.xx-0000001a","","VoiceMail","1234,b","2015-12-18 02:53:16","2015-12-18 02:53:16","2015-12-18 02:53:33",17,17,"ANSWERED","DOCUMENTATION","1450407196.26",""

I have no extension 1236. What does this CDR mean?

I must now go and check my IDD bill!
