configuring from another computer

Postby jncraig » Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:09 pm

I can configure asterisk from the server machine by using:

http://localhost:8088/asterisk/static/c ... basic.html

But ... I can't connect from another computer on my network. The IP address of my asterisk machine is 192.168.1.11, and

http://192.168.1.11:8088/asterisk/stati ... basic.html

Gives this error:

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.11:8088

Note that I can connect to the apache server on the same machine as

http://192.168.1.11

Any ideas?

Look at your /etc/asterisk/http.conf and change your bind address to listen on all ports (0.0.0.0) then in /etc/asterisk/manager.conf you can permit= the IP you want to connect to the GUI from when you login. (this information is under the sample username, mark)

This will work :]
