Polycom SIP phones noty registering properly

Postby jdehnert » Tue Jan 30, 2007 1:24 pm

I'm fairly sure this is a configuration issue, but I cannot seem to hammer it out. I keep getting the following messages in the asterisk log....

[Jan 30 11:13:15] NOTICE[5596]: chan_sip.c:14354 handle_request_register: Registration from '<sip:6002@192.168.5.12>' failed for '192.168.5.16' - No matching peer found
[Jan 30 11:14:04] NOTICE[5596]: chan_sip.c:14354 handle_request_register: Registration from '<sip:6001@192.168.5.12>' failed for '192.168.5.17' - No matching peer found

the sip.conf has....

If I try and call extension to extension I get sent right to VM. Here is the log output...
-- Executing [6001@default:1] Dial("SIP/192.168.5.12-081f7ad8", "SIP/skerns|10") in new stack
[Jan 30 11:19:39] WARNING[5918]: app_dial.c:1081 dial_exec_full: Unable to create channel of type 'SIP' (cause 3 - No route to destination)
== Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/0/1)
-- Executing [6001@default:2] VoiceMail("SIP/192.168.5.12-081f7ad8", "6001@ncvm") in new stack
-- Playing 'vm-intro' (language 'en')
== Spawn extension (default, 6001, 2) exited non-zero on 'SIP/192.168.5.12-081f7ad8'

Can anyone direct me to where my configuration issues is? Thanks!!!

Ok, you put the "username" on your polycom phone, your extension.

[skerns]
type=friend
secret=welcome
qualify=yes
nat=no
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
context=internal
regexten=6001

[jdehnert]
type=friend
secret=welcome
qualify=yes
nat=no
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
context=internal
regexten=6002

So instead of that, put your username as "jdehnert" or "skerns" on your polycom phone.

Or, change your name to your extension, example

[6001]
type=friend
secret=welcome
qualify=yes
nat=no
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
context=internal
regexten=6001

[6002]
type=friend
secret=welcome
qualify=yes
nat=no
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
context=internal
regexten=6002
