PCMCIA Network adapters

Postby ebob9 » Wed Apr 18, 2007 5:14 pm

I've installed AsteriskNOW beta5 on a laptop - I'm trying to play with a small size SIP PBX with a built in battery backup.

However, I'm noticing that my network adapter (Xircom REM56G-100) is not being detected. It is detected fine in other flavors of Linux (Fedora core 1-6, knoppix). Upon a cursory inspection of the system, I saw the appropriate kernel modules to support the device. However, I noticed an absence of PCMCIA control software (cardmgr, pcmciautils, etc).

Is PCMCIA supported under AsteriskNOW? If so, anyone have any insight into how it is controlled? Also, is it possible I'm missing the PCMCIA packages (I couldn't find any on the CD)?

TIA,
Aaron
