Fresh install of AsteriskNOW-2.0.2-i386-DVD, after installation did a yum update and this error...

Reload failed because retrieve_conf encountered an error: 1

exit: 1
[FATAL] Unable to connect to Asterisk Manager from /var/lib/asterisk/bin/retrieve_conf, aborting
1 error(s) occurred, you should view the notification log on the dashboard or main screen to check for more details.

The same error with the 64bit DVD also.
Please help.

Error shows when I assign a static IP to the system/changing the hostname of the system.

Here is what i see on the debug:

Looks to me some PHP error after yum update. Any suggestions?

As root, chmod 644 /etc/nsswitch.conf

Thanks Malcolm, I did a "yum update" now and some new updates came in, and all works fine now.
