Asterisk 1.8 and GUI 2.0 - no login box

Postby Aleksei.Zjabkin » Tue Aug 21, 2012 5:08 am

Hi everyone!

I have issue with asterisk GUI. Page http://myasteriskserver:8088/gui/static ... index.html displays only Digium logo and no login box on a page.

All config files are modified according to GUI installation manual and everything seems ok.

Could anyone tell where can I search for an error?

Regards,

Aleksei

OK,

Solved this one. It's just a browser error. Tried IE 9, and it shows only logo.

On Mozilla 14.0.1 login box is showing up.

Now I have another issue, after login it tells me: "The GUI does not have necessary privileges.
Please check the manager permissions for the user !"

I anyone have an idea please reply. I'm trying to solve this one and I'll get back when I have something.

I've solved problem with "The GUI does not have necessary privileges.
Please check the manager permissions for the user !"

Seems that I've changed some asterisk .conf file permissions and I don't remember where...

Simplest way was to uninstall asterisk and reinstall it. Also I needed to reinstall GUI. After restarting asterisk I was able to log in.

After logging in I had a loop: "Checking write permission for GUI folder"

Needed to change permission to 777 in /var/lib/asterisk/static-http/ and all it's contents.

That all for today.

I assigned the permissions to the below list of folders as shows, it fixed my issue.

sudo chown -R asterisk:asterisk /var/lib/asterisk/
sudo chmod -R 777 /var/lib/asterisk/
sudo chown -R asterisk:asterisk /etc/asterisk/
sudo chmod -R 777 /etc/asterisk/

Note: Just make a note of previous folders’ permissions before applying these all changes.

Please do not advise people to follow such insecure practices.

AsteriskGUI was probably obsolete when the question was asked, but is certainly obsolete now.
