Tuning of asterisk

Postby etc » Thu Dec 05, 2013 7:20 am

Hello my friends.

In advance I say that I am novice in asterisk and need your help.
First I downloaded asterisknow! 32b version from site and install it on virtual machine AQEMU (host ubuntu 13.10). Then by guide "Asterisk: The future of telephony " I tuned asterisk and tried to connect X-lite softphone with astersik but nothing happened. X-lite couldn't even register. And I during all process of tuning I could not understand how softphone can find my asterisk server?
I would be very greatful if you hint in which direction to dig to grasp it.

Thanks

You're not about to spam these forums, are you? That's a pretty suspicious looking first post.

Thanks very much! I'm excited to learn more about this and wonder if it might lead to us providing setup for our clients who want to switch to VOIP systems.

I wonder why this thread attracts so many suspicious first postings (two so far). I wonder if it something to do with the subject, or whether it simply that the forum is active but not so active that people expect postings to be challenged quickly.

I think those are good theories. Somewhere, there's a PhD dissertation on the psyche of spammers... :D
