weird Phone problem. line keeps give busytone

Hi all,

I'm some what new to asterisk. I have had this system working at my home for some time. but the server drive crashed and i cant find my note on this. I'm using a cisco ip phone 7962 and 7942 phone. The phones boot up and pull down the config file no problem. all look good. but when i try to call an Extension I just get a busy tone.

But wait, from my soft phone on the computer i can call the cisco phone no problem.

I get the busy tone as soon as i try and dial anything.

Does anyone have any though or thing i should be looking at?

I see the problem. The phone tries to call the fist number and fails. How can I tell the system to wait until i'm done dialing to try and call?

Set an appropriate dialplan in the phone or ATA. Or if using a SIP phone, dial the number on hook, so that nothing is sent until you go off hook, or press Dial.

(I was expecting everything from the INVITE, not just the final ACK, although the final ACK does show that the phone thought the number was complete after you dialed 1.)
