Calls to 0844 numbers fail

Calls to 0844 numbers fail

Hello i have the latest version of AsteriskNow installed, I have inbound and out bound calls setup and working just fine. However, when I dial 0844 numbers the call fails, well I have to actually dial 44844, dropping the 0. to make outbound calls. As I said all other inbound and outbound calls work great.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem.

0844 calls are not special to Asterisk, not even when you are in the UK. You need to talk to your ITSP about this.

Thank you for the reply.

Being in the UK my ITSP tells be I must use XX. in the "outbound route" "Dial Patterns that will use this route". Thought it might have something to do with that. But I will contact my ITSP to see what they have any light to cast on my dilemma.
