Got VoIP Project, Need help.

Postby yene » Thu Feb 12, 2015 1:26 am

Greetings to you all,
I am new to this forum and needed a huge favour from you guys. I am not an expert on VoIP but know the basics. I run a company working on IT and I have been asked to do a project, wondering if you could help me. Here are requirements
1. They want to use PC as a PBX with Asterisk phone system
2. Install Ethernet network with 10 to 20 workstations with asterisk softphones
3. They have subscribed ISDN line of 30 numbers and they want to distribute the incoming call to the workstations automatically.
4. No need for SIP/VoIP service provider incoming and outgoing calls are through the ISDN line.
Do you think this is doable?
So far I have downloaded AsteriskNow, looking for PRI card and the networking is done. Do I need another component than PBX server, workstations/PCs, PRI card, AsteriskNow software on DVD, and all networking equipments? I couldn’t wait to hear from you.
Many thanks,
yene

Sounds doable. Asterisk didn't start as primarily VoIP, so, at least with DIgium cards, ISDN is vary normal for it.

I can't think of anything missing from your list.
