Registering pjsua with Asterisk

Postby ajnouri » Sun Jun 14, 2015 7:11 am

Hi everyone,

I have hard time making pjsua register with Asterisk:
Asterisk is not responding at all to pjsua INVITE, though they are perfectly reachable from each other:
According to pjsua forum discussion, the issue is elsewhere (Asterisk config)
Here I included the extension config:

pjsua:
/pjsua-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu --id sip:101@192.168.22.10 --registrar sip:192.168.22.10 --realm "*" --username 101 --password user101

Asterisk

For general basic use, is there any thing missing?

Thank you in advance.

Maybe it is worth mentioning that, according to wireshark packet capture, the client REGISTER packet sent by pjsua doesn't contain the authorization header.
here is the packet capture compared to working linphone registration:

According to http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3261#section-22.2
If no credentials (in the Authorization header field) are provided in the request, the
UAS can challenge the originator to provide credentials by rejecting
the request with a 401 (Unauthorized) status code.

In my case Asterisk doesn't respond at all to the UAC.
