Hi.

I'm curious what additional features users would want in AsteriskNOW. Here's a couple of my own, though they may already be there someplace I didn't find:

- A comprehensive setup guide, like "TrixBox Without Tears". If this existed, the features that are there but hard to find wouldn't make it on this list.
- FollowMe. This is the number one feature that I install Asterisk for, yet I don't see it in the GUI. Can it be kludged in without editing conf files?
- Better voice menu wizard. The default menu is cool, but how did they make it?
- A longer set of supported service providers
- Trunk specific dial rules that allow me to add digits, so I can dial local numbers with 7 digits

Thanks,
Bill

LDAP

I'd love to see inbuilt LDAP support using one of the existing modules, or even a new custom one.

User Webpage

Postby farsc8per » Sat Aug 04, 2007 4:31 pm

I would like to see a user webpage that allows users to login by their extension and VM password (Just to start, usernames and longer passwords later).

I would like the users to be able to:
-Check voice mails and listen (download the wav file and listen)
-Create notes about the voicemail
-See call logs from that users extension only; who they called, who
called them, the numbers, time, length of call, ect....
-download logs
-Anything else that a user could do from a web login. Like set call
forwarding and such.

Of course, with all this you'll have to have some admin function to clear logs and such when space gets low. Just an idea, don't know if anyone else would be interested in putting something like this into *Now[/list]

Time Based Routing by Number or Dialed Number

Postby rquick » Thu Aug 09, 2007 12:31 pm

I would like the ability to assign a time based rule by number. If you setup a new user or voice menu you have a drop down box to assign a time based rule to that number.

OR

In the time based rule setup you have a field if <numbe>r is dialed between <time> it routes <here>.

One or the other so that if you have a PRI and your working after hours you can still be reached at your DID, but if the office main number is called it goes to an afterhour voice menu.

Ability to view, search, download CDR logs in the gui.

I would like an applet like freePBX has that will allow you to view, sort, seach, and download cdr logs in a spreadsheet format.

Hi ALL

Call Logs "Call accounting" seems to be lacking even in third party software.

Call forwarding would be nice "Without needing to hack into the conf file"
