Installed.. where's the asterisk binary file!?

Postby marksskram » Wed Oct 22, 2008 3:21 pm

So, I installed 1.5(b) from the CD and checked out the FreePBX interface, etc. One problem: I went to the CLI to do a simple `asterisk -rx reload` and realized, I couldn't find asterisk...

[root@XXXXX YYYYYY]# which asterisk
/usr/bin/which: no asterisk in (/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/masilverberg/bin)

Any ideas? I'm not new to asterisk- worked with Asterisk a lot about a year ago.

Thanks for any help!

in FreePBX, I can't apply changes - I get

exit: 126
sh: /var/lib/asterisk/bin/retrieve_conf: Permission denied

I don't want to mess with Asterisk/FreePBX conf files too much because I know it's been set up to just work. Any ideas? Searching online suggests apache should be running as user `asterisk` but I see it's not configured that way currently.

Help!

Thanks,

Mark

I'm getting this error from the FreePBX interface.

Any ideas?

Not 100%, try the freepbx forums, or use the other GUI
