play Agent Name for Caller of the Queue

Postby Shayne.Alone » Sun Nov 21, 2010 2:04 am

Dears;

i don't know if there is a sufficient way to play the Called Member/Agent name or extension for the Caller of a queue to be award of whom will talk to.

right now there an option which will play the hold time of the Caller to the Called member.
if be able to play the member/agent name as the same time, but for Caller instead of the Called! this will be so good for Call Center jobs.

thanks

Asterisk's queueing application does not support this feature.

What type of call center are you running, and in what location, where this feature is considered a good thing?

we are planning to run the asterisk as the Costumer Support Call Center.
so there are many agents whom should introduce their self for caller, so i am looking for a way to remove this part my playing some recorded introduction or playing back the agents name for callers.

Is this a feature provided by any off-the-shelf PBX system? In what country is this a popular feature, for agents to introduce themselves via recorded message?

:)
maybe this not to be a usual feature on any others...
but we plan to have it ;)

by the way, there is some arguments which can be passed into the Queue application. (AGI and Macro)

the problem with the macro is that, macro is playing back for Agents...
i had some discussions with Palosanto (Elastix) support team and as they check it depend on my request! the AGI is working correctly. -- i didn't get time to check it by my self..

if there there be new argument in Queue application with run some special or custom macro just after the MOH stop for the Caller, this will be so useful option, not just for our favor, but all for more other abilities.
