Calling from my IP phone to another asterisk server

Postby Hector » Tue May 22, 2012 9:13 am

Can I do this?

A connection between servers astrerisk, when I dial an IP address In my internal phone from an (A) Asterisk extension,
to connect to another extension in (B) Asterisk server, in the IP dialled.

For example: make a call from my IP-phone to 120.130.140.15.777 (when 777 is an internal of asterisk in 120.130.140.15 IP)

We can do a network telephon :D

Asterisk is a back to back user agent, not a proxy. It essentially ignores the part of the SIP URL after the @. You can do almost anything you like with the bit before the @, however one would not normally put an IP address there, but rather just map a range of phone numbers into calls across the "tie line".
