Can PSTN (landline calls) be answered to a wifi handset

Postby ankitgoenka » Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:26 am

I wish to achieve a setup which I can make and receive calls, which come to my landline phone - on my cellular phone.

I am adding a link below - I hope this is not against the forum rules - if it is - i apologies...

::PLEASE SEE LINK BELOW: I HAVE MADE A DESIGN WHICH I WANT TO IMPLEMENT::

I don't believe current versions of Asterisk support voice modems.

You will need a VoIP application on the phone, and it will not be operating as as cellular phone.

If you do find a voice modem driver, you are lkely to find that you have bad echo problems. The proper telephony cards have on board echo cancellation processing.
