AsteriskNOW 3 - IVR Recording Behavior?

Postby cgoodwin73 » Wed Apr 17, 2013 8:52 am

When we use *77 to make a recording, the wav file ends up as:
tmp/EXT#HERE-ivrrecording.wav

But the recordings don't get moved out of the /tmp director - and they're not date/time stamped in the file naming. If we record another message from the same extension, the 1st file gets overwritten.

Shouldn't the file automatically be moved out of /tmp? Non-tech admins would be lost trying to find/move these files. At bare minimum, the filenaming convention should include date/time so that recording from the same extension don't get overwritten.

Thoughts?

You need to ask the person that wrote the dialplan. What you are describing here is not determined by the Asterisk core.
