How to Stream Internet Radio to an extension

Postby calldrop » Tue Aug 27, 2013 10:53 am

So here is what i would like to do.

From any extension within my network, if I dial a specific extension number I will be able to hear a live stream (available on the internet). I would like to start with one ... and once it works then continue to support more.

For example: if i would like to hear Dubai_Eye_103.8, i would dial 1038 and then be able to hear this stream (http://4013.live.streamtheworld.com:3690/DUBAI_EYE_SC) which would be mapped to that extension.

Can anyone guide me as to how I would go about doing this?

thanks.

O.K.

since no one was able to help with the previous request, does anyone here know how to set up different Music on Hold (MOH) per extension?
example: extension 0001 will have MOH "A", while extension 0002 will have MOH "B".

Anyone?

This sounds like a FreePBX question, not an Asterisk one. Note that Asterisk is only aware of extensions for outgoing calls; the incoming leg is only associated with a device.

Also note that there may be performing rights issues with the use of internet radio feeds.
