Problem related to asterisk call files

Postby asterisonout » Thu Dec 26, 2013 5:55 am

Hello,

I am trying to call a phone number using .call files in asterisk.
when the phone rings and if i wait for 4-5 seconds and then reject from my number. it goes to failed extension, but when i try to call and dont wait and reject the call, it waits and doesnt go to failed extension.

Can someone tell me how could i know the phone is not answered by the user or picked up?
my extension.conf
Code: Select all
[mycontext]
exten => _X.,1,do-some-stuff

exten => failed,1,do-some-stuff

here if during ringing ,if i wait for 4-5 sec, then terminate, dialplan goes to failed , but if i terminate call from my phone in 1-2 sec, it goes to _X. extension.

Use local channels and the dialstatus variable.

I'm not entirely sure that navaismo has correctly understood your question, but, if he has, you need to test DIALSTATUS in the local channel code, or force an answer in that code.

Please note that this is a question, not a discussion topic, and it not about the installation of AsteriskNOW, but rather about the use of Asterisk.

yeah,
everything is working file , but when i place a call to my phone through .call file and instantly i cut the call from my phone , the dialplan doesn't go to failed extension and it continues to the dialplan.

but if i wait and cut the call after 4-5 sec. it directly jumps to the failed extension .
I want every call to go to failed extension if it is terminated by user, not to wait for 4-5 sec and cut the call.

Thanks :)
