which GUI for an installed Asterisk 12.0 on CentOS 7?

Postby miraTech » Tue Feb 24, 2015 1:10 pm

Hello!

I have Asterisk running on CentOS 7 dedicated Server. I want to install a GUI to manage it easily.

Asterisk GUI is deprecated I guess, what can I use as alternative (best one)?

Thank you very much!

Freepbx, but if you already have a configured system then the GUI will screw all.

Nope. Generally, the GUIs are built around the idea of making it easier to do some sort of specific application of Asterisk. Asterisk is a general purpose tool. You can't really have a general purpose GUI that's anything other than a file editor.

So, the various GUIs are built around driving a particular feature set, and delivering that feature set means they need to own the world of Asterisk, and not interact with changes you might be making to the config files otherwise - they could conflict with what the GUI wants to accomplish.

Cheers
