Howdy,

What version of Asterisk are you using?
What type of Linux environment (32-bit or 64-bit)?
What type of CPU do you have?
When did you download res_fax and res_fax_digium?
Which res_fax and res_fax_digium version / CPU files did you download?

Cheers.

CPU0: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz stepping 0d
CPU1: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz stepping 0d

Howdy,

Did you compile that version of Asterisk yourself, or is it someone else's compiled version?

I just, 10 minutes ago, downloaded Asterisk 1.4.21 from:

http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telep ... 4.1.tar.gz

res_fax from:

http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telepho ... _32.tar.gz

and res_fax_digium from:

http://downloads.digium.com/pub/telepho ... _32.tar.gz

Note that I'm doing this on a Linux machine loaded with Fedora Core 9 running in 32-bit on an AMD K7 processor. In this case, I have no issues.

I think something is wrong with your Asterisk build.

Hello,

After rebuilding Asterisk, you show the same results as before?

An error loading the res_fax.so module?

Howdy,

That's terribly odd. Do you experience this issue on any other distributions?

I too am getting this error when trying to load the res_fax.so module.

Has anyone found a cure for this problem ?
