How the license is counted?

Postby Sarosa » Wed Sep 16, 2009 9:43 pm

Hi, everyone

I have a question here, if I bought a SFA license with 5 channels, how it is counted?

Let assumes some type of calls
1. Incoming calls from Normal Skype
2. Incoming calls from SkypeIn
3. Outgoing calls to Normal Skype
4. Outgoing calls to PSTN/Cell phone

Is this 5 channels mean the concurrent calls are equal to the summary of 4 type of calls? Or it is counted another way?

Thanks for the answer!!

From the FAQ:

What defines a channel of Skype for Asterisk?
A single concurrent call on the Skype community

So yes for 5 licenses you could have up to 5 calls on the Skype network concurrently (whether it's Skype-to-Skype or SkypeOut to PSTN coming OUT of your Asterisk system, or Skype-to-Skype or SkypeIn INTO your Asterisk system)
