One way audio using SFA

Postby ingenieriagbr » Thu Jan 14, 2010 5:17 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm having a one way audio issue with SFA, if I call from Asterisk to a Skype contact or to another phone number using SkypeOut the other party can't hear me, but I can hear them.

This is happening since a few weeks ago.

My server is connected directly to the internet (with public IP address), there's no firewall activated so this is not a NAT related problem.

I'm using Asterisk 1.4.26.1 (Elastix 1.5.2-2.3) and SFA channel diver and library version 1.4_1.0.9.2

This is my chan_skype.conf:

Code: Select all
[general]

engine_directory=/tmp

default_user=my_skype_bcp_user

debug=no

bind_address=my_public_address

[my_skype_bcp_user]
context=from-pstn
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
allow=g729
secret=my_secret

"skype show settings" output:

Code: Select all
Skype For Asterisk Settings:
elastix*engine_directory: /tmp
elastix*data_directory: /var/spool/asterisk/skype
elastix*defaultuser: my_skype_bcp_user
elastix*bind_address: my_public_address
elastix*rtp_address: 127.0.0.1
elastix*https_proxy:
elastix*https_proxy_user:
elastix*https_proxy_password:
elastix*socks5_proxy:
elastix*socks5_proxy_user:
elastix*socks5_proxy_password:
elastix*disable_tcpauto: no
elastix*disable_udp: no
elastix*debug: no

Any idea of what's happening here?

Thanks in advance!

Re: One way audio using SFA - SOLVED!!!

Postby ingenieriagbr » Thu Jan 14, 2010 6:12 pm

Well, I've solved!!! :D

I was suspecting the rtp_address was involved in this problem (as you can see in "skype show settings" output above it is 127.0.0.1) so I added this line to the chan_skype.conf file:

Code: Select all
rtp_address=my_public_address

And then it start working fine again...
