Skype and Fax problem with Addons

Postby neologan » Thu Mar 04, 2010 8:30 am

Hi,

When I install Addons I have this problem:

[root@sipvox ~]# yum install asterisk16-addons-mysql
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, kmod
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* addons: mirror.nic.uoregon.edu
* base: mirror.hmc.edu
* extras: centos.cs.wisc.edu

asterisk16-skypeforasterisk-1.6.0_1.0.6-1_centos5.i386 from installed has depsolving problems
--> asterisk16-skypeforasterisk conflicts with asterisk16-addons-core
Error: asterisk16-skypeforasterisk conflicts with asterisk16-addons-core
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

There is the same problem with Fax.

SkypeForAsterisk and ResFax conflict with Addons.

Please help me.

Thanks.

Kevin posted about this on the asterisk-users mailing list the other day. Here is his response: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/aster ... 46808.html

It is a licensing issue, asterisk-addons contains GPL components that aren't supposed to be linked in with commercial products, which SFA and FFA are, so our packages won't allow this to happen without the user knowing it and overriding our behavior.
