Phone Systems Waiting Music Rights

Hi all from Paris France,
I'm new here and I have a question I did not found answer in the forum.
What are the music rights in a PABX ?
Is there any topic about this ?
I will be more specific now :
I installed a small office "yeatsar" based on Asterisk software.
the setup is with the default waiting music.
My customer received from the French authorities an "author tax declaration".
It means they have to declare if they use some special music with or without rights.
Of course I believe if a famous compositor music is used fees must be paid.
So if somebody have an idea he is welcome to answer it.

If you bought a product from Yeastar, you should take it up with them.

Yes I asked them but get "CNY absence of" message (Chinese New Year )
I will wait.
I search on the internet and here in France, all PABX users must do a declaration of the music they use with or without rights.

The music supplied by DIgium comes with files named CREDITS* and LICENSE*, which should include the necessary information. The standard Asterisk music uses a Creative Commons Attribution and Share Alike licence, which roughly means that it is Royalty free, but you must identify the creators and you must impose the same condition on anyone to whom you supply copies.

If these files are missing (which would breach the licence) or Yealink use different music, you need to take that up with Yealink.

That music was withdrawn because people started claiming that there were no rights to use it in some countries. Yealink should not be redistributing it. No currently supported version of Asterisk should contain that music.

As i mention in opening this post, product is Small office YEASTAR (MyPBX).
Is there any "link" with Yealink ?
Or is it a mix-up in names (to david55) ?

in between I get this from the Chinese support :

There was a mixup in the names.

The information they are giving you is out of date.

The right to use the Freeplay music was challenged in Australia. See http://blogs.digium.com/2009/08/18/aste ... d-changes/

They should no longer be distributing the Freeplay music, especially to Australia.
